Teaching P-6 Physical Sciences Using Hands-on Inquiry

The Academy of Future Skills have developed a four-part series that will focus on the four strands of Science. In this workshop, our experienced STEM staff will strengthen your pedagogical practice and content knowledge in PHYSICS using hands-on, engaging, project-based ideas. This workshop will provide you with many ‘tried and tested’ teaching materials and experiments to use in the classroom to investigate FORCES and ENERGY.  We will provide you with units of work that you could use for developing your programs in Physical Sciences that will have relevance and real-life applications to increase student interest and understanding of the topic.

All equipment used in the workshop is available on loan to use in your classroom which will no doubt increase the level of engagement and a deeper understanding of the concepts.

(Chemistry, Earth & Space will be covered in future sessions).
